Terms and Conditions
Training Cancellations / Refunds
On occasion, you may find you are unable to attend training. Please see details that pertain to each in-person training, webinars, and eLearning.
If your training includes a combination of in-person training, eLearning and/or webinar and you are unable to attend training, then the cancellation and refund policy set out for each such applicable training delivery method applies. For example, if you have training to be delivered in-person and via webinar, then the cancellation and refund policy for both in-person training and webinar applies.
For any other product or services that are not listed, then the cancellation and refund policy set out in the "refunds" section applies.
In-Person Training
Recording and Use of Training Materials
Training sessions delivered by ACON Pride Training must not be recorded in any form, including audio, video or screen‑capture. Recording is strictly prohibited to protect participant privacy, facilitator intellectual property and the integrity of the training content.
All resources, slides and materials provided as part of the training are supplied for internal organisational use only. They may be used to support staff capability, learning and internal discussions, but must not be shared externally, published, reproduced or distributed outside your organisation.
Substituting Your Seat
As this is an in‑person training and attendee lists are finalised in advance, substitutions are possible if the substituted attendee is approved by the booking organisation to attend the training session.
Deferring Your Attendance
Deferrals are only available when your organisation has booked a second training session with ACON Pride Training. If your organisation has not booked a second session, deferment is not available, and the booking will follow the standard cancellation policy.
Refunds
Please choose your training carefully as once a training session is confirmed refunds will only be made when:
- The training is cancelled or rescheduled by ACON Pride Training. If the training is rescheduled ACON Pride Training will coordinate with the booking organsiation for a suitable time. If training is cancelled, ACON Pride Training will process refunds within four weeks from the date participants are notified.
- The training is cancelled or rescheduled by the client, and a written request for cancellation is received more than seven days prior to the course. Cancellations received more than 7 days prior to the course will receive a full refund. Cancellations received between 7-0 days prior to the course will be processed with a 35% cancellation fee.
All outstanding invoices must be paid prior to the commencement of any training. All written refund requests must be sent through to pridetraining@acon.org.au
Webinar
Recording and Use of Training Materials
Training sessions delivered by ACON Pride Training must not be recorded in any form, including audio, video or screen‑capture. Recording is strictly prohibited to protect participant privacy, facilitator intellectual property and the integrity of the training content.
All resources, slides and materials provided as part of the training are supplied for internal organisational use only. They may be used to support staff capability, learning and internal discussions, but must not be shared externally, published, reproduced or distributed outside your organisation.
Substitute
If your organisation is unable to have the originally registered participant attend the webinar, a substitute may be arranged depending on how the webinar is being delivered.
-
If the webinar is managed by ACON Pride Training: The booking contact may request a substitute by emailing PrideTraining@acon.org.au with at least three business days’ notice so we can update webinar access details.
-
If the webinar is managed by the booking organisation: Your organisation may provide webinar access details internally to a substitute without notifying ACON Pride Training, as access is controlled by your internal systems.
Deferring your Attendance
A deferment is only possible when your organisation has already booked a second webinar session with ACON Pride Training.
How deferment works:
-
If ACON Pride Training manages the webinar booking: The booking organisation must notify PrideTraining@acon.org.au at least three business days before the scheduled session to request a deferment. The organisation must provide the participant’s name, the original session date and the date of the second session they have booked.
-
If the booking organisation manages the webinar: The organisation may arrange the deferment internally and provide access details for the second session directly to the participant. ACON Pride Training does not need to be notified.
If the organisation has not booked a second session, deferment is not available.
All‑Day Facilitated Webinars – eLearning Component
Access to the eLearning and Microlearning modules is provided immediately upon enrolment. Because of this instant access, refunds are not available for this training format.
To receive a certificate, participants must complete all of the following:
-
the eLearning module
-
the Microlearning module (if applicable)
-
all live webinar session(s)
-
the post‑training assessment
Completion of the eLearning module is a mandatory prerequisite for attending the live webinar. Participants who have not completed the eLearning before the webinar date may not be approved to attend.
You may transfer your seat to another person up to three business days before the live webinar, but only if:
-
you have not started any part of the online component, and
-
your organisation has a future webinar date already booked.
eLearning and Microlearning
Access to eLearning and Microlearning courses is provided immediately upon enrolment. Because access is instant, refunds are not available, except in cases of enrolment or purchasing error (for example, accidentally purchasing the same course more than once). In such cases, a refund will be issued for the duplicate purchase.
Participants have 30 days to complete the eLearning course unless otherwise stated. A certificate of completion is issued once the eLearning or Microlearning course has been fully completed. Certificates remain available for up to 12 months after completion.
Safety and Respect
Upon purchasing facilitated training (in-person or webinar) you agree to provide, as far as reasonably possible, a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for Pride Training's facilitators and your learners. Disrespectful behaviour from training attendees will not be tolerated, and facilitators reserve the right to discontinue training at any time.
Intellectual Property
All content provided in our eLearning, in-person and webinar training remains the property of ACON Pride Training. Unauthorised recording, reproduction or sharing of training content is strictly prohibited. This is necessary to protect not only our intellectual property, but also the privacy of our facilitators and training attendees.
