Suicide Prevention in LGBTQ+ Communities eLearning - Two Course Bundle

Specialised knowledge and skills to recognise risk, respond to distress, and support suicide prevention in LGBTQ+ communities
LGBTQ+ people experience disproportionately high rates of distress and suicidality, driven by factors such as discrimination, social isolation, and barriers to culturally safe care. Without the right understanding and approach, service providers may miss critical warning signs or respond in ways that unintentionally cause further harm.
This two‑course eLearning bundle equips you with both the foundational knowledge of LGBTQ+ identities and communities, and the specialised skills to assess suicide risk and respond effectively. It includes:
- LGBTQ+ Introduction (1 hour) – covering key concepts, terminology, and an understanding of diverse genders and sexualities. View this course HERE.
- LGBTQ+ Suicide Prevention + Case Studies (2.5 hours) – exploring unique suicide risk factors for LGBTQ+ people, best‑practice response strategies, and real‑world case studies to apply your learning.
Developed by LGBTQ+ subject matter experts, this training blends evidence‑based guidance with lived‑experience insights to strengthen your capacity to provide safe, inclusive, and effective support.
Ideal for health and wellbeing service providers, including General Practitioners and clinicians, this bundle will help you respond with confidence, compassion, and cultural competence.
