Professional Advisory Group EOI – LGBTQ Sexual Assault eLearning

We are looking for professional service providers that respond to sexual assault or provide support to those affected by sexual assault to participate in a professional advisory group on the development of a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer inclusive practice eLearning for professionals.

LGBTI Awareness In-Person Training – Public session

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex (LGBTI) Awareness is training for anyone looking to increase their basic knowledge around LGBTI people and communities. This 4-hour in-person training will introduce you to the LGBTI acronym and expand your understanding of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and sex characteristics.

Next sessions:

  • Sydney – Tuesday, 12 November 2019, 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM
  • Tamworth – November (date and time to be confirmed)


LGBTI Aged Care Inclusive Practice In-Person Training in Sydney

Improve your provision of person-centred care and elevate your ageing clients’ overall experience with a full-day “LGBTI Aged Care Inclusive Practice” training. Guided by a qualified ACON facilitator, this training will help you expand your understanding of LGBTI people and communities through discussion with like-minded professionals, video testimonials, and engaging in learning activities.

Silver Rainbow Training: time update

This inexpensive, essential, and relevant eLearning module and in-person training for all workers in the aged care sector will help promote a better understanding of the needs of the LGBTI people and provide staff with more confidence to deliver an inclusive, best practice service. Training is $10 per person, enrol yourself and your peers

International Pronouns Day

International Pronouns Day is an annual event that seeks to make sharing, respecting and educating about personal pronouns commonplace. It takes place each year on the third Wednesday of October. Birth certificate reform has passed in Victoria

Victoria joins Tasmania, NT, SA and the ACT in passing laws that make it easier for people to update their birth certificates, without facing unnecessary and invasive medical interventions. “Transgender people in Victoria will no longer have to undergo invasive medical procedures before being able to update their birth certificates to reflect their gender identity”.
