LGBTQ+ Awareness Webinar
Build your awareness of the LGBTQ+ community to facilitate stronger relationships.
Duration: 4 hours (including a 15-minute break)
Audience: Everyone (18 years and over)
We all encounter members of the LGBTQ+ community in our daily lives – whether it be friends, family members, co-workers, customers, clients and more. Increasing your awareness of this community and your confidence in allyship is important to foster respectful relationships.
This training is designed to improve your knowledge and understanding of LGBTQ+ people and communities, addressing common questions including:
- What do LGBTQ+ and different terms for gender and sexuality mean?
- What should I know about the trans community?
- Why is inclusion important?
- What are some ways I can be an ally?
- What should I know about LGBTQ+ history and relevant current legislation?
- What are the current health priorities for the LGBTQ+ community?
Pride Training courses are developed and delivered by LGBTQ+ community members and subject matter experts, and include activities, media, open discussions, and access to a range of useful resources.
