Happy Pride Month!
We are finally here! It’s June and it’s Pride month! The month of June was chosen for “LGBTIAQ+” Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall riots, which occurred at the end of June 1969. As a result, many pride events are held during this month to recognise the impact LGBTIAQ+ people have had in the world. While festivals may be cancelled this year, that doesn't mean we need to lose the spirit of PRIDE this month! Here is a list of the online festivities for you to join and share with your network:
We can still be proud and supportive of members of the wider queer community and people with diverse gender and sexuality even without the grand celebrations we have come to expect with PRIDE usually. To download your “Welcome Here” toolkits, visit the Welcome Here Project website.
