Trans & Gender Diverse Awareness In-Person
Build a deeper understanding of trans and gender diverse identities, experiences, and inclusion through an engaging, interactive learning experience.
Understanding the broad concepts that shape gender, identity, and lived experience is an essential foundation for meaningful inclusion. This extended, workshop‑style session creates space to explore these concepts in depth while examining the historical, social, and structural factors that influence the experiences of trans and gender diverse people today.
Developed by trans and gender diverse community members and subject matter experts, this four‑hour course expands on introductory material and invites participants into a hands‑on, reflective learning environment. You’ll explore key terminology, gain insight into diverse trans and gender diverse experiences, and learn how discrimination, stigma, and exclusion have shaped community resilience and visibility over time. The session also highlights current health priorities and the everyday actions individuals and organisations can take to foster safer, more affirming environments.
Through discussion, activities, and real‑world examples, you’ll build a well‑rounded understanding of trans and gender diverse communities and the role each of us can play—big and small—in strengthening inclusion across workplaces and community settings.
