Trans & Gender Diverse Introduction In-Person

Improve your basic knowledge and understanding of Trans and Gender Diverse people and communities.

Duration: 2 hours

Audience: Everyone (18 years and over)

We all encounter members of the Trans and Gender Diverse (TGD) community in our daily lives – whether it be friends, family members, co-workers, customers, clients and more. Increasing your awareness of this community and your confidence in allyship is important to foster respectful relationships.

This training is designed to improve your knowledge and understanding of TGD people and communities, addressing common questions including:

  • What do LGBTQ+ and different terms for gender and sexuality mean?
  • What should I know about the trans community?
  • Why is inclusion important?
  • How can I be a trans ally?

Pride Training courses are developed and delivered by LGBTQ+ community members and subject matter experts, and include activities, media, open discussions, and access to a range of useful resources.
